BPTW was appointed as masterplanner to develop an ambitious strategy for the historic Sittingbourne Paper Mill and an interconnected wharf site in Kent. The development is acting as catalyst for the wider regeneration of Sittingbourne Town Centre and will provide much needed high-quality family housing.
Improvements to the public realm enact new, safe and attractive links for pedestrians and cyclists between the sites and into the town centre. A new access road will also serve the new development and, running alongside Milton Creek, a waterside park will provide a new habitat for local wildlife. These additions will transform the old wharf side into an exciting destination for local people and tourists.
