As a result of extensive community engagement, BPTW’s design has produced a masterplan formed around character spaces and park views. The scheme places a strong focus on the design of landscaped spaces to complement the estate’s proximity to the neighbouring Northolt and Greenford Countryside Park. A large communal garden area forms the central focus of the development, and puts the community at the heart of this masterplan. An active part of the existing community, this area sees the re-provision of the community centre. Particular attention has been given to developing a landscaping strategy which addresses the park edge, to provide a seamless transition between the open public park, the recreation area and the landscaped spaces within the masterplan.
