Located on the site of an existing but tired sheltered housing accommodation, Dillon Court is a made up of 50 flats, including 5 wheelchair adaptable units and 10 two-bedroom homes, developed following extensive consultation with the existing residents.
Developed in consideration of the residents’ needs and ideas for the project, the clear and simple layout of Dillon Court ensured that this supported housing development provides a safe living environment. A distinct hierarchy accompanies the simple layout of spaces, maximising natural light into the homes as well as external and internal communal areas, helping to establish a strong sense of community.
As an alternative outdoor amenity space, the fourth floor features a communal roof terrace, and offers immediate access for upper floor flats. In addition, the ground floor flats all have private patio gardens, while the homes on the upper floor have private balconies. Across the scheme, all communal areas patios of wheelchair flats are wheelchair accessible, with raised planters in the private gardens.
