Contemporary in form and considerate in approach, the scheme features a series of high quality apartments above a row of retail units, creating a bold frontage towards Creek Road. This steps down to a more domestic scale along a quieter lane that runs parallel to the main road. Previously underused, it is now home to a row of mews houses, which back onto a popular park.

A cohesive material palette unites the scheme, pairing multi stock brick with intricate metal work. Here the modest yet thoughtful detailing draws inspiration from architectural elements across Greenwich, allowing the scheme to seamlessly transition into the surrounding conservation area.

Working closely with developer Peabody, BPTW provided the full spectrum of architectural services across the RIBA Stages in planning, technical design and construction. Creek Road contributes to the sense of community that characterises Greenwich by connecting the UNESCO Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site and the historic town centre with new and emerging developments. As part of creating a socially enriching development, the adjacent Up The Creek comedy club – a legendary local icon – is an integral part of the scheme.
