Having successfully designed the scheme up to planning, BPTW worked with contractor Durkan to take the designs forward in Revit. This was the first collaborative BIM project undertaken by the client, contractor and external consultants. The use of BIM provided significant improvements in co-ordination between consultants, which helped to reduce construction clashes between disciplines and ensure a smooth construction process.
