We are excited to announce our recent appointment as lead consultant to deliver an exemplary design code for Chatham Town Centre on behalf of Medway Council, one of the 25 participants in the UK Government’s Design Code Pathfinder Programme.
Working closely with council officers, BPTW’s Urban Design Director, Scott Adams, will lead our team and draw on his experience facilitating the delivery of the Government’s National Model Design Code testing programme to oversee the delivery of Chatham’s design code.
The wider consultant team will include Lyall Bills & Young Architects, CF Moller, Create Streets, Urban Movement and HTA’s Landscape Design team. Once completed, the document will create an SPD framework for more beautiful and sustainable places and communities in the area, and establish Chatham as Medway’s ‘city centre’.
