Both Alkerden Gateway and Rochester Riverside Phases 2 & 3 have been recognised for their design excellence in this year’s Housing Design Awards.
Designed for Westerhill Homes, Alkerden Gateway in Ebbsfleet Garden City provides 67 contemporary homes with customisable elements, enabling residents to create bespoke homes tailored to their needs. Through a six-stage customisation approach, residents have the choice of three ground floor layouts, a variety of external material options and details, and various ecological enhancements.
This scheme is part of our ongoing work in the southeast, including designing up to 1,000 homes on four development sites at Ebbsfleet Garden City, one of Kent’s highest-profile projects.
Rochester Riverside is a joint venture between Countryside and Hyde for a 7-phase masterplan creating 1,400 new homes on a brownfield site to become a contemporary extension of the Medieval city.
The first 3 phases of this new destination neighbourhood provides 656 homes and mixed use spaces on the river Medway with its design drawing inspiration from the Medway area to balance the rich, historic context with the new, vibrant urban quarter.
Connections between Rochester and the river are re-established through a network of public spaces promoting well-being whilst opening access to the river frontage for the whole community.
