We are thrilled to announce that two of our schemes for Hounslow Council, Rose Gardens and Clements Court, have received planning permission following a unanimous approval at planning committee last night. BPTW has been working on a collection of sites with the Council to help deliver their pledge to build 5,000 new and affordable homes by 2022.
Located in Feltham, Rose Gardens will provide 42 new affordable homes in place of two apartment blocks and garages currently situated on the site. To rectify the sites car dominance and lack of quality amenity space, our proposals offer a simplified road layout to reduce car movement and help create a new amenity space in the centre of the site. Carbon zero technologies such as air source heat pumps and PV panels have been integrated into the design to help Hounslow Council reach its goal of reducing its carbon emissions to net zero by 2030.
Clements Court is designed to create 74 high quality affordable homes utilising underused areas, while rationalising parking and creating a large amenity space in the centre of the estate for new and existing residents. Low carbon principles have also been an integral part of the scheme’s development.
These are the third and fourth applications for London Borough of Hounslow which have now been granted planning permission, following The Everglades and Orchard Road earlier this year.
