BPTW’s transformative design for the Strood Civic Centre regeneration scheme in Medway has been submitted.
Appointed by Medway Development Company, BPTW is leading the redevelopment of this prominent brownfield site that previously housed the Strood Civic Centre to create a destination masterplan of 195 mixed-tenure homes, commercial space, and a new green public realm and play space.
BPTW’s masterplan connects Strood High Street to the river with a hierarchy of new residential streets, landscaped terraces, and parkland celebrating the spectacular views of Rochester Castle and Rochester Cathedral. Environmental and social sustainability has been a key driver, responding to the river features and enhancing neighbourhood wellbeing through new recreational and socialising spaces.
