Great news! We have received planning approval for a Passivhaus scheme for London Borough of Newham. Situated on an existing car park, Morse Close will provide 17 affordable homes, transforming this underutilised site into a contemporary corner building with a vibrant pocket park.
Passivhaus principles have been incorporated from concept stage, resulting in a dynamic open courtyard building that maximises southern aspect homes; ensures all homes are dual or triple aspect; and sit within a super insulated thermal envelope. Our design reduces carbon emissions by 67% through the use of air source heat pumps, efficient building fabric and combined blue and green roofs.
A fantastic scheme which is being delivered as part of a package of sites we are working on for LB Newham, many of which are being designed to Passivhaus Standards to help the Council with their goal of delivering sustainable and affordable homes.
