We are thrilled that our architecture and planning consultancy teams have secured planning approval for Rochester Riverside Phase 7.
Building on the established design principles of the award-winning previous phases, Phase 7 will create 154 new homes for Countryside and Hyde across two new character areas. The development will also forge connections to the neighbouring Chatham Intra area, drawing inspiration from the surrounding architectural narrative to create a scheme which knits seamlessly with earlier phases of the masterplan.
Phase 7 also introduces two new bespoke house types which have been designed to overcome the challenges of building on the narrowest site within the masterplan. Designed to back onto the riverfront houses, the Oystercatcher typology offers residents an upside-down layout with bedrooms located on the ground floor and an open plan living/kitchen/dining room on the top, accompanied by a roof terrace which affords glimpses through to the River Medway. The Lapwing typology is entered at the street to the rear and has a kitchen dining space that opens to a garden on the riverside with a spectacular high level view of the river.
