BPTW is incredibly proud to have been awarded ‘Business of The Year 2022’ at this year’s Best of Royal Greenwich Business Awards ceremony held last week, where we also won the ‘Made in Greenwich Award’.
Hosted by the Business Engagement Team at Greenwich Council, The Best of Royal Greenwich Business Awards are an annual opportunity to celebrate and showcase the best local businesses and their contributions to the borough.
‘Made in Greenwich’, the first award picked up by BPTW, celebrates the creative talent bringing new products and services to market, continuing Greenwich’s proud tradition as a place where things are created and produced. BPTW was subsequently chosen from all the category winners as the Business of The Year 2022, the overall winning prize, in recognition of our longstanding commitment to the Borough through our project work, dedication to our staff and our efforts in delivering social value in the local community.
As a practice based in Greenwich for over 30 years, having grown from a handful of staff to over 120 architects, technologists, urban designers, planners, visualisers and others, we are delighted to have been recognised in these awards.
Founding Partner Alan Wright Commented:
“It is fantastic to have been a part of the Greenwich Business Awards and to celebrate with so many amazing businesses in Greenwich, particularly given many of the challenges we have faced over the last couple of years. We are astounded to have received both awards and, in particular, I am delighted to have heard so many positive comments from the judging team praising our longstanding commitment and longevity in the borough. BPTW is incredibly proud of everything we have contributed to Greenwich. After acquiring a converted warehouse on Norman Road as the practice grew in the mid-1990’s, we fulfilled the ambition of developing the site and are now based in beautiful studios that we designed and built ourselves, literally ‘Made in Greenwich’. We are also proud to have designed and delivered many projects locally, helping generate growth by revitalising places across the borough. I am pleased that our work continues to have a positive influence on the local economy, engaging with local communities and businesses, employing local people, supporting local charities, and ultimately helping to transform lives across Greenwich. As we go into our 35th year in business next year, we look forward to having a positive impact in Greenwich for many years to come.”
We would like to thank the overall prize sponsors Wilmott Dixon for the generous £3,000 prize which we will use to fund training, work experience and work placements for a number of young people as part of our “Careers in the Built Environment Programme” which has been specifically designed to raise awareness and create opportunities for young people in our industry.
