Last week our architecture and planning teams secured unanimous planning committee approval for the redevelopment of the former Abbey Sports Centre at Axe Street in Barking Town Centre, on behalf of Lindhill. The scheme will deliver 170 Build to Rent homes, alongside a 2 screen cinema and commercial floorspace at ground floor within a building of up to 13 storeys in height. The scheme represents an amendment to a previous application to provide an additional 20 homes. Working in close collaboration with Lindhill and the local authority, we developed a mixed use, residential- led design that embodied their requirements and vision for this part of Barking.
