RHP BIM Consultancy

BPTW’s BIM consultancy service has assisted Richmond Housing Partnership in assessing the impact and opportunities presented to the organisation by BIM, with the goal of enhancing the information prepared for every project.

Our BIM team were appointed by RHP to review the impact of BIM implementation on RHP’s procurement strategies and the relationship they establish with the design teams they appoint to assess the impact of BIM on their organisation. In collaboration with RHP, our team developed their Employer’s Information Requirements and specifically created a section for the COBie requirements. We worked closely with the different departments at RHP to identify the missing data they typically did not receive at project completion but required for building management and then formatted the Employer’s Information Requirements to provide a system for the data’s provision. For example, liaising with RHP’s maintenance team to ensure their data requirements are catered for from project initiation.

By identifying this data and ensuring it forms part of their Employers Information Requirements specification, RHP have been able to make significant time and cost savings over the lifetime of their building assets by enabling the quick and easy access of maintenance data.
