We are pleased to announce that our design for South Oxhey Phase 3 in Watford was awarded planning permission last week. BPTW was appointed by Countryside Properties on the scheme which provides 345 new homes and 2,500sqm of commercial spaces including a Lidl supermarket. Across the site mixed tenure homes are provided in a creative arrangement of townhouses and seven-storey apartment buildings. In combination with the previous phases, which include a rejuvenated railway station, Phase 3 establishes a new commercial heart at the centre of a wider regeneration project in South Oxhey delivered by Three Rivers District Council and its partners, Countryside Properties (UK) and Home Group. BPTW’s design enriches the urban environment with improved pedestrian connectivity and high-quality public realm where the visibility of car parking is minimised using landscaped podiums. The carefully designed facades create balanced proportions and a domestic scale that maintains a strong connection to the local context.
